This event is for informational and educational purposes only and is not investment advice or a recommendation to engage in any investment or financial strategy. Paper trading is free for users of the moomoo app and doesn't require the establishment of a brokerage account.

Preliminary: Online Mock Trading
Time: March 6 - March 21, 2026 (12 trading days)
Rule: Ranked by cumulative return rate, Top 8 advance
Min Activity: At least 7 days with trading records out of 12
Risk Control: Single position not exceeding 30% of total assets;
No 0DTE options; only assets with market cap ≥ $1B allowed
Finals: Offline Strategy Presentation
Time: Last week of March 2026
Location: Moomoo offline store
Format: 15 mins per Top 8 contestant (10 min presentation + 5 min Q&A)
Scoring: ROI 30% + Strategy Logic 30% + Risk Management 20% + Presentation 10% + Q&A 10%

You must be an enrolled student at a Toronto-area university, hold a valid SIN, and register a Moomoo account (registration guide will be provided before the competition).
Yes. A Moomoo tool tutorial workshop and strategy lecture will be held before the competition starts. Complete beginners are welcome.
No. The entire competition uses Moomoo simulated accounts. No real capital is required and there are no fees.
No. Moomoo provides a visual trading interface for manual operation. No coding or algorithmic trading is involved.
US equities and options are allowed, but only assets with market cap >= $1B. 0DTE options are prohibited. See the competition group announcements for full rules.
The organizer will screen applicants, prioritizing students with finance backgrounds or trading interest. Results will be communicated via WeChat by March 3.
No. The minimum requirement is trading activity on at least 7 out of 12 trading days to maintain active status. You can arrange your schedule flexibly.
The preliminary is online trading with flexible scheduling (during US market hours). The finals in the last week of March will try to avoid school exam periods.
Finals composite score: ROI 30% + Strategy Logic 30% + Risk Management 20% + Presentation 10% + Q&A 10%. Preliminary ROI still carries the most weight, but presentation performance also affects the final ranking.
The official post-competition certificate serves as proof of practical experience on your resume, showcasing your trading ability and strategic thinking. It is a compelling addition for finance internship or graduate program applications.
